At the MTC

Today we dropped Sister Jensen off at the MTC to begin her missionary adventure. There were no tears until after we left. She is so ready, and will be a great missionary. Here is a pic of her at the Provo Temple grounds where we found many, many others doing the exact same thing before dropping their missionary off!

Ogden Temple-Heaven on Earth

Today we had the opportunity to go to the (re)open house for the Ogden temple here in beautiful Utah. The temple was announced for a major renovation in 2010, and is now being reopened and will soon be dedicated as a temple of the Lord. At an open house, people everywhere have the chance to see what the inside of a temple looks like and to learn more about what goes on inside. The Ogden temple is actually the temple that my parents got sealed in for all time and eternity, so it was such a great blessing to be able to see it with them before I head to the MTC.

If you are in Utah within the next few weeks, I encourage you to go out and visit this temple during the open house. All I can say is that it is truly a house of the Lord. The peace you feel from the Spirit there (even before it has been dedicated) is so strong and undeniable. The beauty of the temple is breathtaking. Every inch has been thought out from the patterns in the ceilings to the patterns in the AC vents!! It is magnificent.

I have one more day before I enter the MTC! I again thank you all for your support and you can find all of my contact info in the "Where to Write" section of my blog!!!

Last day in Arizona!

Yup, that's right today is my last day for 18 months in the good ol' AZ heat that I have grown to lovingly hate. Tomorrow we (the Jensen gang of three) head out for Utah to hang out with family and then to drop me off of Wednesday to the Provo MTC... CRAZY!!

Anyway, this last week has been full of plenty fun and wild antics... for instance O'Malley (my cat whom I am going to miss dearly) decided he wanted to be a fairy.
Yeah, he feels fabulous!
Oh and Sunday was my big talk and open house! Both went well and I want to thank everyone that came out!! (I would post my talk but its like 7 pages long).
Lastly, I FINALLY finished packing!! Seriously that was probably the hardest thing to start doing. Once you pack it means you're actually leaving. Scary right.
Here is my life packed neatly away in two suitcases and a carry-on (the duffle is for travel to Utah)
Well Goodbye AZ. It's been fun while it's lasted but I believe I am ready for this new adventure of serving the Lord! Hope everyone has a good time while traveling back to school or work. Stay safe, I will miss you.

Packing.... Well Sort Of

I guess I would have to call it "slacking" more then packing. Procrastination is a bugger, considering we had the full day to start and all we really accomplished was moving my mission clothes from one room to another. If it is any consolation we did manage to start sorting... start. Anyways it is time like these I wish clothes could pack themselves, and farewell talks typed themselves. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part!

16 Days left! Guess I better get a move on... everything.

Welcome to my Blog!!

My name is Kelliann Jensen (Sister Jensen), and I am about to spend the next 18 months in Calgary, Alberta on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. During this time I will be serving the people, teaching the gospel, and ultimately bringing others to Christ while strengthening my own testimony at the same time. I will be using this blog as a place to update everyone out in Internet land on my progress and to let you know how you can contact me while I'm out!!

Although I will not have access to this blog while I am out, my mom will be posting emails and letters that I send and making sure you all are kept up to date.

Here is the current countdown!!

23 days until I enter the MTC! (MTC is Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah)
18 days until I leave AZ!
11 days until I am done at work!!

IT IS GETTING REAL PEOPLE!!!

Love you all!
